Canestrello is a wafer-shaped biscuit, thin and crumbly, typical of the popular Alpine and Piedmontese peasant tradition, cooked by hand within two iron or cast iron tong plates, heated over an open fire which gives it the characteristic embossed surface .
It's a dessert of medieval origin, always prepared in families for Carnival and village festivals, and Gustinsieme offers the traditional Canestrello from Vaie, a town in the lower Val di Susa, kneaded according to the original recipe with flour, sugar, butter, eggs fresh, lemon zest and vanilla.
Products created by skilled artisans of taste from Val di Susa, each with their own style, but united in working the varieties of flours coming from the Valsusa Mill.
An excellent result that aims to enhance the territory and typical traditional products .
